Hyperpigmentations can be caused by a lot of reasons. Most common is excessive sun exposure, hormonal disorders, taking some medcations and herbs, skin aging and individual tendency of a person.
Laser pulse is targeting melanin in hyperpigmentation. Every laser pulse is being absorbed by this pigment and causes termical damage of it. After treatment hyperpigmentation becomes little darker and after few days it is exfoliating. Right after laser procedure skin can be irritated, flushed and dry. We recommend to apply creams with allantoin or panthenol.
3-4 weeks after treatment you should avoid sun exposure and use creams with sunscreen SPF 50+. For people who are proned to have hyperpigmentations it is advised to protect skin from sun permanently.
If needed, laser treatment can be repeated after 3-4 weeks.
